Letter paintings

I have to co-workers that just started with me and as a gift for their offices I wanted to make them something. Since they are both Mary, I chose to do a fun, simple project and paint letters that match their styles and favorite colors. 

On the back and sides, I wrote words that described each one so that they can turn it around as they pleased. This was the result =)

Lucas' Surprise 30th Birthday

My husband's surprise 30th birthday consisted of a Craft Beer Theme with outdoor water games and an inflatable slip-n-slide. It's was so much fun but I wanted to document the cake table since I made the decorations. The cake was fabulous and was literally the best cake I've ever had!!!

 

DIY Tree Tables

A few months ago, a friend gave me these two tables that I knew I wanted to repaint. I just didn't know when. Last week, I set my mind to finally painting one of them and today finished the larger. I was so pleased with the end result because it's nothing like what I first envisioned I'd be painting on it.

Needless to say, I'm excited to share the before and after pics:

Christmas Cards

I know this is over 3 months past due, but I figured I'd post them anyways. Here are some cards I made this Christmas.

DIY Table Runner

I found an article showing a table runner made of toilet paper rolls and decided to take a stab at it. I didn't use quite as many as the article but I used about 5-6 white rolls (or you can paint them).

• First, smash the toilet rolls and mark in pencil 1/4 inch apart. 
• Then, use a craft knife and cut on the lines.
• Design the table runner you want once you have all your pieces cut. 
• Then, use a memory book glue pen (or similar) and start gluing together from the center. 
• Immediately clip paper clips (as shown in the photo) to hold the pieces together until they dry. Do sections at a time to prevent any from falling apart.

•  Once it dries, remove the paper clips and show off your newest decor 

Great conversation piece and no one will know what it's made of unless you tell them =)
